Why was the mask nerfed?

Did anyone have a logical complaint other than they do not want a new player to be able to PvP?

The mask saves 200 imbuing points.  Is 200 points overpowered?

Nobody will use it now.

Because the miniorty player base whined that it was to overpowered for their playstyle so UO catered to them as always.

Based on feedback, it was deemed a single item which provided "cap" level EP required a balancing pass, thusly the EP property was reduced.

So based on feed back from the minority playerbase because we know that the PvMers didn't say this was overpowered you again catered to them so they didn't have to rework their suits.  What ever happened to do what is good for the majority of your customers?  It is amazing that the minority tells us to adapt but they can't.

Sadly, the majority of PvPers saw this mask as a good thing. (so the majority of the minority wanted it. Now that is truly catering to the minority) They were selling items in the trade forum based on the new masks arrival.  Many were glad there would be some new things to try.

The mask is not good enough to eliminate one ring slot.  It works if you can eliminate EP on both.

So if the PvMers liked it and as you say an majority of the PvPers liked it then where is all this feedback coming from to get it changed?

Pretty typical behaviour, no idea why so few people have so much power.

One vocal PvPer.  Maybe some in the guild also.

It would have been enough of a change for the serious PvPers to have to make some changes to compensate for the serious mask users getting some more skills or HP.  They always say they like the challenge in Fel.  I guess not.

And it would have allowed players who wanted to try to PvP make an affordable suit.  (this is probably why the person did not want it.) Which is a self defeating thing.

And the mask is useless in PvM either way.  It just looks cool if your into birds.
You could kill a few things in PvM if you throw the most damaging potions.  But few templates rely on potions to drink or give damage in spawns or difficult mobs.
