items like this are why a curse removal tool would sell well in UO store

also how does high luck effect items becoming cursed @Pawain

You get more items like that with high luck.  It has no LMC, only 6 Stamina, no Dex, a resist is 2.
It could be used as a starter piece on a Warrior.
I would not save it.  Britches of warding are better for that spot.

The RNG determines which stats the items gets and the range is determined by the name at the bottom.

If you are asking why it is Cursed.  The stats could possibly be higher than a Brittle Major Artifact.
That looks equal to or better than Brittle Legendary Artifacts.

If you want a potion that removes something.  I would go with Antique.  I see a lot of better Antique items than I see cursed.

Cursed and Antique can have more or higher stats than brittle at the same level.

So, to get fat loot you get a lot of the fattest loot which is often cursed or Antique.
Focus on what you can do, not what you can't.

So if it hadn't rolled cursed as one of the "mods" it could have been better? Yes not a top tier suit piece but a good starter piece if not cursed

    I put in some edits.

Cursed and Antique can have higher stats at a given level.

Your item is a Major Artifact.  Cursed/Antique Major Artifacts can have more stats.

If it were instead Brittle.  It would have fewer stats.  Maybe another resist at 3. Or one less regen.

But The RNG for each stat still happens.

So your Cursed Major Artifact could possible be rolled as a Legendary Artifact if Brittle.
Left side is Legendary, I chopped it off.

You can find many variations in items but.

See the Major Artifact on the right has 5 Stats. 1 is at max.
Your Cursed has 6 Stats and 2 or 3 are at max.

I found Legendary pants like yours.  A resist is low has similar stats.
    (Left picture)

Theoretically cursed/antique Legendary Artifacts can be better than Brittle.
They still have RNG at each value to mess things up.

You can use cursed and brittle in Tram doing group hunts.  I would not wear Cursed  at EM events or anywhere you can exit an encounter.  I died and left as a ghost, The Spider Queen encounter with some sweet cursed sleeves a long time ago. You cant just go back in to get them.

You can find Antique jewelry with a lot of maxxed stats.

A rare potion that has a chance to wipe away brittle, curse, antique or cannot be repaired.

    Single use.
    Chance to succeed 5%.
    Item is destroyed upon failure.
Found as rare drop during events.

UO store item, $24.95 per potion, 100% success rate, 10 uses.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yeah I was thinking where this rare drop could go, Harrower is a good idea.

    This things should not exist.
You go and farm more items if one you are wearing is broken.  We have plenty of repairable and POFable named artifacts. Dont want to play game - use them .

Go play a little, pretty sure you can get something  like this but brittle. Or use VS.
This items are cursed for a reason.

This is why its called pay to use (win), same as those crafting tools in uo store that should not exist.
